Eskimos, Ice Fishing, and Snow Globes
Dear Sally,
How you been? I’m alright. Still here. I caught a fish. ‘bout time, yeah? A pretty big one. Jane and I were gonna eat it for dinner until she told me to throw it back. She felt bad for it. Fish like those need to swim with their school, she said, even though that fish probably isn’t anywhere near a school at this climate.
Anyway, I can’t wait to see you come home. Maybe I’ll find another fish. Maybe it’s cool with Jane if we keep it. But I don’t know. I’ll try my luck when she’s asleep. Jane doesn’t like eating fish, or anything that moves for that matter. She wants to be a vegetarian, she says. That’s pretty big thinking for her age.
So that’s how we’ve been. What’s it like there? Down south? Is it much warmer where you all are now? I suppose it is. It gets pretty chilly here. Well. Yeah. Of course. But I would want to know what it’s like, even for Jane. We’ll pull through. Hey, I heard the weather won’t be so bad tomorrow. Say hi to mother for me.
Best regards,
Craig
